Our Story: From City Lights to Starry Nights

At Bayview Acres, we believe that the most important work happens at the intersection of the land, the livestock, and the dinner table.

Our journey didn't start in the pastures of Belliveau Cove. Like many, we spent years in the big-city hustle before realizing we wanted a simpler, more intentional relationship with our food. We traded the concrete for the coast, seeking a place where we could once again smell the salt air, enjoy the silence of a "dark-sky" night, and find our way back to the rhythms of the seasons.

The Return of Real Flavour

The biggest "aha!" moment of this transition was the rediscovery of real flavour. Not the engineered consistency of industrial farming, but the deep, complex flavours we remember from childhood. We realized that to get that quality back, we had to go back to the beginning—to the heritage genetics and regenerative practices that prioritize life over speed.

The Art of the Meal

For us, the kitchen is a creative outlet. We’ve moved away from the old-fashioned "meat, starch, and veg" plate. Instead, we build the heart of our meals around seasonal vegetables, treating our premium protein—like our pasture-raised chicken—as the "cherry on top" of a perfect culinary sundae.

This philosophy is the foundation of our future Legacy Cuts line. Whether it’s a high-impact Stir-Fry or a "Fresh-Madness" bowl, we produce food that provides a massive flavour bomb, ensuring that the food sustaining our family is the very best we can offer your family.

High-Tech Heart, Heritage Roots

While we value traditional ways, we are "geeks at heart." We’ve traded city tech for farm systems, developing smart ways to manage our 12-acres. By automating the "work" of our chores, we’ve turned our daily rounds into social visits. This gives us the time to actually talk with our Bourbon Red turkeys or Icelandic sheep, monitoring their health and happiness.
